Ensure casualty is buoyant, good grip, good pistol grip on chin, look inside airway, seal mouth, extend head back (clear airway), lock arm, roll casualty, good seal around nose, don’t blow into casualties lungs

  1. Demonstrate casualty jacket inflation to ensure buoyancy (not too tight as it may restrict breathing) and grip of casualty - repeat with another student
  2. Rotate and practice inflation and grip.
  3. Demonstrate grip, look in mouth, chin grip and head back position - repeat with another Student.
  4. Rotate and practice.
  5. Repeat and include demonstration of AV at rate of 1 breath in 6 seconds - repeat with another Student.

Deep

  1. Repeat step 5 and include own buoyancy
