16. Navigation - Underwater

 

Key Points

Take bearing to object and navigate underwater to it. Work in pairs one navigates, one times, depth 3-10 metres, hold compass centrally. (See Car Park Navigation No 30)

Introduction

Brief (SEEDS)

E - Explain what, why, how long, where.

E - Full kit. compass, slate, watch.

S - Separation drill, breath normally, equalise ears.

D - Keep close, pay attention, look carefully and repeat when prompted.

S - 'Up', 'down', 'you watch me', 'you repeat’, ‘you time this’, ‘you navigate with compass’.
