Key Points

Assist with placement of fins, surfacing drills (rotate 360o, arm up), do not hyperventilate, good positioning by instructor.

E - Explain what, why, how long, where.

S - Come up slowly in case of difficulty, everybody can clear snorkel?

D - Keep close, pay attention, look carefully and repeat when prompted.

  4. Demonstrate mid water duck dive with snorkel clearing.

  6. Demonstrate mid water duck dive with snorkel clearing and surfacing drills.
  7. Students repeat.
  8. Demonstrate deep duck dive with snorkel clearing and surfacing drills.
  9. Students repeat.
  10. Demonstrate feet first duck dive and surfacing drills.
  11. Students repeat.
